Descrição: How can a machine recognize someone’s face, detect spam or fraudulent transactions, or even learn about our health from brain activity?
In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore how simple measurements--such as size, weight, heart rate, or brain signals--can be used to automate decisions, and how machines can help unveil hidden patterns in data. Through interactive games and real-world examples, students will act as learning machines, improving their guesses step by step.
Along the way, we introduce key ideas behind machine learning: how to describe objects using numbers, how to separate different groups, and how to learn from mistakes.
We conclude by highlighting a key challenge in modern AI: finding the right way to describe the world so that useful patterns can be unveiled.
No prior experience required--just bring your curiosity (and maybe an appetite for pizza!).
