"Ciência Viva is a dynamic network, that is constantly expanding, and in close collaboration with municipalities, scientific institutions, companies, researchers, and the educational community. The integration of the Coffee Science Center into the Network reinforces the mission of Ciência Viva, which has been promoting scientific and technological culture for 29 years", says Rosalia Vargas, President of Ciência Viva.
Meanwhile, João Manuel Nabeiro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delta Cafés, highlights the importance of collaborating with Ciência Viva, as a reinforcement of the commitment to inspire generations through science, sustainability, and the appreciation of coffee. "This step strengthens our mission to bring the public closer to science and innovation, promoting learning where curiosity turns into discovery and coffee serves as a starting point for exploring multiple areas of knowledge", he says.
Currently, 22 Ciência Viva Centers promote scientific and technological culture in the country, closely following the growing interest of families, tourists, and schools in initiatives to raise awareness and democratize science in Portugal.
