INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Ciência Viva - the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture - aims to promote active citizenship, supported by scientific and technological knowledge. To accomplish this mission, the Agency relies on the strategic support of an International Advisory Committee – IAC, composed of various leaders from science centers, universities, research centers, and experts in various fields of science and technology.
The IAC operates according to the following principles:
- To play a central role in the international projection of Portuguese science, promoting the alignment of Ciência Viva with the best global practices in scientific communication.
- To act as an independent advisory body, contributing to the definition of medium and long-term strategic priorities.
- To facilitate the development of partnerships, collaborative projects, and applications for European programs, ensuring compliance with international scientific standards.
- To provide advice on the relationships between science, society, and politics.
