Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Centro Ciência Viva

Since July 25, 1999, open to the public in the Parque das Nações area of Lisbon, the Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Ciência Viva is the largest science and technology center in the country. Large thematic exhibitions in the areas of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Social Sciences, and hundreds of interactive modules make this center a home of science for all. Visitors are invited to discover that science is everywhere around us in a 4000 m2 area. Driving a square-wheeled car, piloting a rocket, touching a tornado, pedaling a bicycle suspended several meters above the ground, and lying on a bed of nails are some of the proposed experiences. The rest of the programming includes laboratory and kitchen activities, conversations with researchers, experimental activities, themed days, film screenings, and theater performances where science is the _.
