In 2021, a year in which the power of science is greater than ever, Ciência Viva continues to pay tribute to Portuguese women scientists, who represent 45% of all researchers in the country and whose role has been crucial for the progress of national science and technology in the last decades.

The new edition of the book Women in Science brings together 101 portraits of women researchers from different generations and areas of knowledge, captured through the lenses of photographers Clara Azevedo, José Carlos Carvalho, Luís Filipe Catarino and Rita Carmo.
