Ciência Viva is proud to host the European Science TV and New Media Awards 2013 organized in conjunction with EuroScience and EuroPAWS (the European Public Awareness of Science and Technology).
There are several productions across Europe nominated for different categories. During the event we will have the opportunity to watch short clips of the finalists and find out who the winners are, in a ceremony inspired by the Oscars. The winning productions will be shown in full on Sunday, 24th November at the Pavilion of Knowledge.
This evening, keyspeaker Orla Hardiman, Professor of Neurology at Trinity College Dublin and researcher and consultant at the National Neuroscience Centre, Beaumont Hospital, will talk about her work and studies on the causes and treatments for Motor Neuron Disease. This will be followed by a panel discussion with specialists in SCIENCE, MEDICINE and MEDIA.
