World Biotech Tour
The WORLD BIOTECH TOUR is an international project gathering science centres from all over the world with the same purpose: to demonstrate the relevance, excitement and wonder of biotechnology.
During the next three years, 12 science centres from all over the world are going to host the WORLD BIOTECH TOUR, by organising 3-day science festivals focused on the theme of biotechnology. Students, teachers and the general public will experience a culturally unique visitor experience through several practical activities and debates about key-issues in this area. The first festival will be hosted by Pavilion of Knowledge, from 10 to 12 of April 2015, with the participation of several portuguese scientific institutions in the field.
During 2015 the WORLD BIOTECH TOUR will also stop in Technopolis, the Flemish Science Centre, in Belgium, and in the National Museum of Emerging Science and Inovation, in Japan.
The project is coordinated by ASTC (Association of Science-Technology Centers), with support of Biogen Idec Foundation.
