At 11 o’clock on March 22nd near the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Parque das Nações in Lisbon, an experiment was carried out to determine latitude by measuring the height of the sun. Basic and secondary school students were also able to tell the time of the midday sun by observing the changes in the length of a shadow.
